Peg VanWagoner is a Senior Consultant at DeMarche and a member of the Board of Directors. She has client experience in advising defined contribution and defined benefit plans, foundations, endowments, and faith-based organizations. She is a frequent speaker at DeMarche investment workshops, addressing topics such as current trends in defined contribution plans, asset allocation, sustainable responsible investing, and fiduciary responsibilities.
Before rejoining DeMarche in 2014, Ms. VanWagoner served as Vice President and Senior Relationship Manager at American Century Investments, where she worked with the firm’s largest institutional clients and consultants. Previously, she was the Director of Client Service and Consultant Relations for Thomson Horstmann & Bryant. Ms. VanWagoner began her investment career at DeMarche in a management position and advanced to become a Senior Consultant.
Ms. VanWagoner serves on the Board of Directors and the executive committee of the Kansas City Friends of Alvin Ailey. She is an advisory board member for United We (formerly Women’s Foundation of Greater Kansas City), where she previously served as board chair and investment committee chair. She also serves as an advisory board member for the School of Social Welfare at the University of Kansas, the Board of Directors of the Midwest Innocence Project, and as a Make-A-Wish Foundation Wish-Granting Volunteer. She is a former board chair at the Health Forward Foundation and a former member of the investment committee of the Catholic Diocese of Kansas City-St. Joseph.
Ms. VanWagoner earned her MBA from Rockhurst University and her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the School of Business at the University of Kansas. She is an affiliate member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society Kansas City. She holds FINRA Securities Series 63, 65, and 66 licenses.
