James Dykstal, CFA, is a Senior Consultant at DeMarche, specializing in asset allocation and capital markets. He serves as the chairperson for the Asset Allocation Committee, which is responsible for supporting clients on asset allocation and asset liability studies. He is also a member of the Manager Review Committee (MARC) and the Manager Review Committee for Alternative Assets. Mr. Dykstal is a Portfolio Manager for DeMarche’s discretionary OCIO practice. In addition, he is a frequent speaker at DeMarche investment workshops and the DeMarche Speakers Bureau, addressing topics such as fixed income, alternative credit, and defined contribution plans.
Before joining DeMarche, Mr. Dykstal was the Treasurer and Fixed Income Manager for FC Stone Group. Before that, he was Vice President and Senior Portfolio Manager at Commerce Trust Company in Kansas City. He also held the positions of Vice President at First Tennessee Capital Markets and Investment Advisor at Southwest Corporate Federal Credit Union.
Mr. Dykstal earned his MBA from the University of Missouri-Kansas City and his Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in finance from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder and a regular member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society Kansas City. He holds FINRA Securities Series 63 and 66 licenses.
